I can't believe after four months of procrastinating, that I finally went out and saw the Avatar movie. I think I was turned off a little by the obvious and overdone storyline: boy infiltrates natives, becomes one with natives, falls for native girl teaching him and helps them fight off his own people. It was still a great movie visually. The effects and scenery were amazing. Too bad I couldn't catch it in 3D. Now that would have been amazing! Even though it didn't win "Best Picture" last night, it still made 2.9 billion dollars worldwide. How's that for success!
The next movie I'm itching to see is "The Last Airbender" based on the Nickelodeon cartoon "Avatar: The Last Airbender". It'll basically be like the series but chronicled into 3 movies ('cause we all love trilogies). So, if you haven't seen the show, it's okay. But you should still see it, because it's awesome.
